Kenneth N. Ivory, FMP, CFBE
Mr. Kenneth N. Ivory, FMP, CFBE is a hospitality professional, transformational leader, dynamic motivator, enthusiastic trainer, co-author, and international speaker, His illustrious professional career spans over twenty-five years in the hospitality industry.
He has served in the role of Food Service Manager for ARA Services, Customer Service Manager and Unit Manager for Marriott Education Services at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Retail Operations Manager for Shaw Food Services, Area Manager for Accor Economy Lodging/Motel 6, District Manager for Sodexo Corporate Services, Executive Director of Saint James Family Life Center, Area General Manager for Sodexo Campus Services, Vice-President of Business Operations for Shaw Food Services, and Vice-President of Operations for Acorn Food Services. His most recent role prior to joining Perkins Management Services, Inc. was Regional Food and Beverage Operations Manager for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S.® representing an exclusive portfolio of food and beverage operations at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-Riverside®, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter®, Disney’s Old Key West Resort®, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa®.
Kenneth is a Certified Food and Beverage Executive by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, Food Management Professional by the National Restaurant Association as well as recognized as a “FMP” Recipient of Distinction for continuing professional development by the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association, Certified Facilitator of Achieve Global™, Certified Personality Temperament Facilitator, Certified Food Safety Manager by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals, former Visiting Faculty Member in the School of Business of North Carolina Central University in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Administration, and professional member of the National Speakers Association.
He holds an Associate in Science degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management from the University of Georgia, Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Studies and Master of Business Administration degree in Hospitality from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University in Hotel and Restaurant Administration.
As a community advocate, he served as Executive Director and Board Member of Visions of Tomorrow CDC, Executive Director of the St. James Family Life Center, and Cabinet Member for the Duke University – City of Durham Annual Campaign. He is a member of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education, NAACP, and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is the co-author of the book titled: “Rising to the Top: A Guide to Success”.
